Julie Peterson, D.C.

Dr. Julie Peterson has been in practice since 1996. A passionate speaker and chiropractic motivator, she is devoted to helping families achieve optimum health and wellness through excellent chiropractic care. She says: “It is my goal to educate and adjust as many families as possible towards optimal health so that Innate Intelligence will be at 100%”.

In pursuit of changing first her community then the world, Dr. Peterson has performed over 20,000 adjustments in a single year! With her emphasis on children, she has a lively and busy practice that has a family feel.

A past national spokesperson for the American Mensa (International High IQ Society), Dr. Peterson has a hunger for learning and for growing. After having an hour long radio show on local AM radio for 5 years, in 2001 she began a syndicated CNN Radio show, Health Watch, which she produced, wrote, and recorded for 4 years often as a best-selling product for CNN.

Dr. Peterson has received numerous awards for leadership both within her profession and her community. Her list of awards includes: American Biographical Institute Woman of the Year 2003 Award, Outstanding Young Women in America, Mertz Excellence Award, WLP Leadership Award, and Charleston’s 40 Under 40. She is an active member of many organizations including The Society for Neuroscience, American Mensa, and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Dr. Peterson shares her love of learning with her family and practice by having advanced workshops on different topics – the overall favorite: Quit your Stinking Thinking! How Your Thoughts Affect Your Cells. Not only a Chiropractor but also a patient, Dr. Peterson has been under chiropractic care since 1989. She is an avid horse person who studies and rides dressage, and as a mother, tries to get outside with her family as much as possible!
